Inclement weather policy for the Veterans Invitational Soccer Tournament

The safety of our players, parents, volunteers and fans is of the highest importance to the Evansville Soccer Club. Therefore, in the event of lightning, play will be suspended and all should seek shelter immediately. Play will be suspended at least 30 minutes after the last flash of lightning is witnessed.

Fields Marshals along with Site Coordinators will monitor the weather. Field Marshals will report any weather concerns to the Site Coordinator. If the Site Coordinator determines that the fields should be cleared, 3 long blasts on an air horn will signal that everyone should go to their cars. A signal of 3 short blasts will indicate that you may return to the fields. Upon the suspension of play, teams MUST go to their vehicles - do not leave the site and do not go to the Tournament Tent for shelter.
Field Marshals will also be notified by radio of the suspension and resumption of play.

If it is necessary for you to check with Tournament Headquarters regarding this situation, we ask that only the teams' head coach go to the Site headquarters tent.
